Education and environmental conservation work in Yangshuo, China

The volunteer project in Yangshuo combines educational activities with local children and environmental conservation work. The international group will work closely with the local community.

The volunteers will work in different schools and will try to motivate the children and help them improve their conversational English. They will play games in English, which is one of the best ways to stimulate the children to learn the language.

The volunteers will also help local villagers to clean up their village and raise their awareness on environmental protection, health and hygene. The environmental conservation activities involve work along the Li-river and cleaning the riverside.

Project dates: December 17 - December 29, 2012

Location: Yangshuo County is 84 km from Guilin City of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, South of China. It is renowned for the beautiful nature, the excellent combination of Orient and West culture, and the hospitality of the lovely and warm people.
