Brief Description
Produce & Gleaner Driving Volunteers use their personal vehicles to transport Gleaning Volunteers to and from worksites and/or to transport donated fruits and veggies to local emergency food providers.
Work Site
"The Road;" Driving Volunteers transporting Gleaners will pick them up and drop them off at a predetermined meeting point likely located in Wenatchee, Chelan, Entiat, or Leavenworth. Driving Volunteers transporting Produce will pick it up at the gleaning site and transport it to the nearest food bank.
Time Commitment
Driving Volunteers should arrive at meeting points 30 minutes prior to departure time. The drive to gleaning sites will vary, but should not exceed 30 minutes. Food Banks will also be no more than 30 minutes from the glean site. While Drivers are encouraged to participate in the gleaning event, they are in no way required to do so!

Community Harvest, a program of Community Farm Connection, is a regional gleaning project in the greater Wenatchee Valley. Community Harvest's vision of a healthy, self-reliant community includes access to fresh, locally grown foods for every community member. Community Harvest helps farmers manage excess and/or un-marketable products and makes gleaned produce accessible to the local community through the region's existing emergency food providers.
