PotoFanm+FI is a Haiti based organization that is working to assist women and girls's organizations and groups in Haiti to cope with sexual violence. Our work is partnership based, and we work with over a dozen local NGO partners in Haiti. Please see www.potofanm.org to review our mission and work. We are now seeking flextime volunteers for these projects:
1) Web Design, Blog Development: to help design and modify our existing blog site to incorporate a GBV Resource Center. Please contact potofanm@gmail. com if you have experience. This can be done at your home, anywhere in the world.
2) Researcher, E-Librarian: We are seeking online researchers to help identify information on the web and [ublished studies specific to our work and projects.
3) If you live close to the Bay Area, our US coordinator is seeking 1-2 PT volunteers to help network our group with organizations in the US and Caribbean, and to support work related to the pending launch of a rural Haiti initiative for adolescentss to address sexual violence and early pregnancy.
4) Intl volunteers: We have the possibility of helping to place US volunteers in Haiti, based on experience.
NOTE: We will also provide support and training for the volunteer positions, as needed.
NOTE: We are seeking self-starters with some French ideally.
We welcome stay-at-home moms, retirees, and individuals seeking experience in international development work and gender rights work.
