Job Role:
Atma is currently going through an extensive growth phase, and needs to set a concrete growth strategy and strategic direction of the organization in a written business plan format. The volunteer who takes this role will work directly with the Executive Director to drive this final phase of the business planning process and may be required to lead a team of other volunteers assisting in research. The role will involve researching and planning strategy for both program growth and geographical expansion of current programs.
Responsibilities:
- Working in strong collaboration with the Executive Director
- Setting goals and milestone for business planning process
- Assist in researching and communicating alternative program and growth strategies
- Seeking advice and input from external consultants on planning process and alternatives available
- Co-presenting with the Executive Director alternatives for growth to the planning committee and trustee board
- Writing a comprehensive business plan document detailing a 5 year strategy for Atma's programs and expansion
- Seeking approval of plan document
- Ensuring dissemination of plan document to all relevant stakeholders
Specific Skills and Experience Required:
- Experience in working on a strategic planning process
- Training in/ experience in financial management particularly budgeting and cash flow forcasting
- Experience in working on and leading a diverse team
- Experience in writing comprehensive documents
