Volunteer Opportunity description

There are few places in the country with as many challenges as the Metropolitan New Jersey region when it comes to disaster. We are looking for volunteers 55+ to be trained to carry out disaster relief. Volunteers are trained in disaster response, train others in disaster response and administer relief in emergency situations in the metropolitan New Jersey area. Volunteers will help ready people for major disasters and will assist in the safety and well-being of local residents in the event of a crisis. Volunteers will be asked to commit 4 or more hours each week for 52 weeks (one year).
