Volunteer Opportunity description

Massachusetts Legal Aid Websites Project is looking for volunteers to develop short (3 minutes or less) multimedia presentations on civil rights issues:

  1. SSI and SSDI Overpayments;
  2. Getting your security deposit back; and
  3. Guests in private and public housing;

Volunteers will adapt legal content for educational audio/visual presentations for MassLegalHelp.org. The Websites Project provides practical legal resources for protecting the civil rights of low income Massachusetts residents. Volunteers are encouraged to look at Northwest Justice Project's videos on YouTube and Vimeo as models. Formats we have been thinking about include powerpoints with audio, Xtranormal, Prezi, as well as video. We welcome whatever multimedia skills you can bring to this work. You will work with experienced housing attorneys and the Websites Project staff to educate Massachusetts residents about their civil rights.
