Christian Appalachian Project (CAP) is seeking a long-term volunteer (January 2014-December 2014) to cook out of our Foley Mision Center group facility. The FMC cook meal plans, shops, and cooks for groups serving out of the Foley Mission Center, including during WorkFest and YouthFest. Serves with the Groups Coordinator and under the supervision of the Volunteer Life Manager. Position will require serving nights and weekends during group season (March-November). During non-group season, this volunteer may have the opportunity to serve in other CAP programs. Must be 21 or older with a good driving record.
Christian Appalachian Project is a nonprofit human services organization serving people in need in Appalachia. Our programs are made possible in large part because of our corps of 50-60 full-time volunteers who serve for a year. Long-term volunteers with CAP make a commitment to Service, Community, and Spirituality and receive room and board, a monthly stipend, health insurance, vacation time, and potential student loan deferment.
