Come join Las Fotos Project and help us empower Latina youth through the art of photographic expression!
In order to keep providing a creative outlet for our students, we need to increase our number of grant request to support our volunteer structure, outreach services, and any future possibilities for the growth of our photography programs. Become a part of this awesome team and help identify grantors, write letters and proposals and process applications. This virtual volunteer will have a direct impact on the quality of service we provide to underserved Latino communities and the future development of Las Fotos Project.
A great way to gain skills in an industry is to volunteer. Many employers are looking for employees who have volunteered to gain work experience. Social advocacy, civic and social associations are especially likely to provide "would be" employees with opportunities to volunteer to gain experience. As a volunteer grant writer you'll gain experience in:
- Researching new grant prospects
- Managing and following a grants calendar
- Cultivating and managing relationships with foundations, corporations, and public agencies
- Writing/producing reports to funders as necessary
- Grant reporting

Las Fotos Project, a project of Community Partners, is a non-profit, community-based photography program whose mission is to bring about positive change for young Latinas facing adversity. Through one-on-one mentoring, photography trainings, and assigned field projects, Las Fotos Project provides a creative outlet for students, encouraging them to express their artistic talents and explore their imagination, while building self-confidence.
