Volunteer Opportunity description

We're looking for people who want to help change lives right now - and develop valuable skills and friendships along the way.

  • Meet new and interesting like-minded people, from diverse backgrounds and cultures
  • Learn more about the local community and politics
  • Use your skills to advance a higher purpose
  • Contribute to our work to end global poverty and injustice
  • Raise awareness for Oxfam and its causes when people ask you what you're doing

Volunteer Opportunities:

  • Social media outreach (blogging, newsletter articles)
  • Tabling at the Growers Market
  • Organizing community events
  • Education and outreach with public schools
  • Create curriculum and games to advertise GROW (Eat seasonally, use less resources cooking, eat a little less meat, support small scale farmers, and save food)
  • Coordinate or host dinners to promote the local food system
  • Lobbying and advocacy
  • Serve on a committee to plan the Hunger Banquet for the 2013 IMPACT Conference
  • ...and more!
