Volunteer Opportunity posted by: International Alert
Posted on: May 7, 2014
Duration: Two days per week, on-going
We are looking for a detail-oriented long-term volunteer to work in the Unrestricted Fundraising Department in London. We are the team responsible for supporter services, fundraising events, corporate sponsorships, trusts and foundation appeals, community challenges, and major donors. We are a very busy team who needs an extra set of capable hands to help in the office two days a week. The Volunteer will be able to choose which days of the week they would like to come in.
This volunteer will be based in London and responsible for helping the team research prospective donors, companies and trusts who are appropriate for Alert. They will also help research and coordinate promotional avenues for our events. Other tasks, as needed, include volunteering at our events, database management and help coordinating direct mailing appeals.
This would be an excellent opportunity for a parent returning to the work force who wants to gain recent office experience, or simply to an individual with a bit of time in the week to dedicate to us on a regular basis.
Volunteers will also have their travel expenses to and from work reimbursed and those working a minimum of 4 hours per day will be reimbursed up to £5.00 a day.
To apply, please send an up to date CV to Nasseem Khanum at email@example.com
For any questions, please contact Nasseem Khanum on 020 7627 6863
Closing date: Friday 23rd May 2014 at 5pm (UK time).
Please note, as it will not be possible to obtain a Work Permit for this role, only those with the right to work in the UK should apply.
While International Alert will endeavour to contact all candidates within a reasonable time, this may not always be possible due to limited resources. Therefore, if you have not heard from us within two weeks of the closing date, you can assume that your application has, on this occasion, been unsuccessful.
