Volunteer Opportunity description

JASA seeks a volunteer to assist seniors in learning valuable computer skills. This may entail basics of web browsing, email, and Microsoft Office programs. The instruction may be with small groups or one-on-one depending on the circumstances. Volunteers should be able to commit to a regular weekly schedule and be comfortable with computers. Experience working with the elderly will be helpful.

The Jewish Association Serving the Aging (JASA), founded in 1968 by the Federation of Jewish Philanthropies, provides a full range of services for the elderly and their families -- from the most able and independent to the most frail and vulnerable, to enable the elderly to live independent lives in their own homes and communities. Services are provided throughout New York City and in Nassau and Suffolk counties.
