Interested in getting involved in a local cable television station and learning video studio production skills?
CityTV of Santa Monica is looking for community volunteers for our Spring 2013 Studio Season. We are producing 13 shows at our new facility, Studio 16 (1654 19th Street in Santa Monica), from March to May. Volunteers would be assigned to an individual show and be expected to show up for their 4-5 taping dates which will be approximately every two weeks. Taping dates are on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays in the late afternoon or evening. You will be trained by CityTV staff on various studio aspects and be an integral part of the crew for the production. Positions include camera, teleprompter operator, floor manager, audio, graphics, technical director and director.
Show topics include: Women's Issues, Local Theatre, Non-Profit Organizations, Yoga, Legal Help, Cooking, Senior Issues, Sustainability, Youth.
We are looking for volunteers who are reliable, interested in learning hands-on video production skills and want to help serve the Santa Monica community. Volunteers will be asked to sign a release and get fingerprinted by the City of Santa Monica.
We will be holding a mandatory training session for volunteers on Tuesday, March 5th from 4-7pm and you will need to pass a basic competency test based on the instruction provided.
