Volunteer Opportunity description

Volunteer in the sunny town of Livingstone, Zambia, only a few kilometers from the beautiful Victoria Falls.

Livingstone is a town rich in history and culture. Located only moments away from the legendary Victoria Falls, the town boasts numerous attractions such as safaris, museums, historical buildings and outdoor activities such as bungie jumping, and white water rafting.

Volunteer Work and Contribution:

Volunteers will be spending their time in a variety of schools and educational placements throughout Livingstone.

Their main responsibilities may include:

  • Making lesson plans that follow a given curriculum
  • Providing one-on-one assistance to struggling students
  • Marking Tests and Assignments
  • Assisting teachers in class
  • Organizing extra-curricular activities for the children

In addition to their teaching placements, volunteers can participate in a number of other initiatives. These include building, painting and refurbishing schools and clinics in the area, reading, art and adult literacy clubs, home based care, sports programming, and farming.

What's included in the project:

  • Accommodation: Lodge rooms for 2-4 people
  • Food: 3 meals a day
  • Airport pickup: Included on arrival day
  • Orientation kit: full project details will be sent following registration
  • Training: Pre-departure preparation and In-country orientation
  • Support: Local in-country team and 24hr emergency support
