Barefoot Productions is a 501(c)(3), volunteer-run community theatre that proudly entertains Plymouth, Michigan, and surrounding communities. Our board of directors is in need of a dedicated, passionate president with immediate availability; duties of the president are listed below. We ask for a minimum commitment of 8-10 hours/week in a year-long appointment.

The President shall, in general, supervise and control the business and affairs of the Company but cannot provide final authority without Board approval by a majority vote.
The President shall preside at all meetings and Executive Board and:
1) May appoint special committees as required, with the approval of the executive board
2) Shall present the annual report to the Company and the publics, if applicable.
3) Shall sign, with the Board and Community Relations Secretaries' communications/minutes, contracts or other instruments which the Executive Board authorized to be executed as prepared by the project managers.
4) Shall, in general, perform all other duties incident to the office of the President and such duties as may be prescribed by the executive board.
5) Participate in fundraising for the organization.
6) Initiate and lead the theatre's annual evaluation; to determine if the theatre is achieving its mission.
7) Be an active participant in the theatre's annual evaluation and planning efforts.
8) Set the tone for the committee and theatre work.
9) Assign work to the executive board, project managers, team members, sets the agenda, runs the meetings, ensures distribution of meeting minutes.
10) Partner with the executive board in achieving the organization mission.
11) Encourage executive board's roles in strategic/business planning.
12) Monitor financial planning and financial reports.
13) Evaluate the performance of the executive board, project managers, team members.
14) Serve as principal point of contact for all facility related issues (i.e. building owner, city officials, and other key personnel.
