Crossing Point Arts is now looking for passionate individuals dedicated to helping survivors heal through the creative arts to join its Board of Directors. Board members will serve as ambassadors for the organization, working to promote and fulfill Crossing Point Arts mission. Time Commitment

  • Attend meetings​in 8 week intervals (with a special initial meeting in Summer 2016)
  • Committees of the board meet once per fiscal quarter before the full board meeting, or more frequently, depending on their respective work agendas

Requirements

  • Attend meetings on a regular basis
  • Serve on at least one board committee
  • Serve a 3-year term
  • Participate in special events and fundraising activities of ITA
  • Remain actively informed about the organization
  • Work toward expanding​ CP Arts resources

Safeguard confidentiality of​CP Arts information

  • Make, or secure from another party, a financial contribution
  • Adopt an open mind when considering new ideas and changes in historic practices, consistent with the mission, principles, and values of​CP Arts

Background information

Crossing Point Arts: Bringing the Arts to Survivors of Human Trafficking. Founded in ​2013 (nonprofit status - 2015). WEe are NYC's only nonprofit solely dedicated to providing experiential workshops in the arts to survivors of human trafficking. Working in partnership with local anti-trafficking agencies, Teaching Artists offer workshops in Music, Drama, Visual Arts, Dance, Poetry and Song Creation.We have reached over 1000 survivors of sex-trafficking and labor trafficking.cleardot.gif
