Volunteer Opportunity description

The National Museum of Health and Medicine seeks volunteers docents to lead tours of the permanent exhibits, Innovations in Military Medicine; Anatomy and Pathology; Civil War Medicine; Biomedical Engineering; Human Identification and Microscopes. Visiting groups typically consist of students from grade k through high school. There are also groups of adults and older students going into specialized medical fields.

Annual training and monthly meetings are required. An interest or experience in the medical field a plus.
