Foster an Animal

Posted on: December 12, 2012

Posted by: Baltimore Humane Society

Description

The Baltimore Humane Society is continuously looking for ways to improve the lives of the animals in our community. Unfortunately, many of the animals that come to the Humane Society are too young, too old, under-socialized, injured, or too stressed to be an ideal candidate for adoption. You can help these animals find their perfect forever home!

The Baltimore Humane Society provides all medical care for foster animals, as well as training sessions as needed.

Skills / Requirements

  • Written and/or verbal approval of landlord (if you are renting).
  • Provide own transportation for veterinary appointments at a minimum of every two weeks, or in case of an emergency. (Clinic Hours Mon-Friday 8:30-4pm)
  • Have a flexible schedule.
  • Commitment of at least six months to the program.
  • Ability to offer separation from your animals as needed.
  • Complete a Foster Care Application and sign a foster care agreement

If interested, please fill out a foster application on our website.
