The Louisiana Bucket Brigade is looking for volunteers for the New Orleans Earth Day Festival and Green Business Expo. The festival will take place on April 21, 2013, and will feature live music, local food, and a showcase of green initiatives taken by local business, artists, and non-profit organizations. Description: The Kids Tent Coordinator is responsible for coordinating educational youth activities, arts and craft projects, games, and presentations for youth of all ages. He/She will be responsible for researching educational youth activities with Earth day related themes and making contact with any outside groups that present an activity in the tent. He/She will be in charge of creating a Kids Tent activity schedule and ensuring each activity runs smoothly during the festival. He/She will also oversee (4) volunteers per shift that will assist the Kids Tent Coordinator with arts and craft projects, engaging children in activities and games, and keeping the tent area clean and kid-friendly.
Commitment: The KT Coordinator is required to attend monthly Earth Day planning committee meetings and one-on-one meetings with Festival Coordinators as necessary.

Volunteers are free to partake before, between, or after their shift(s). Plus, the festival provides a pleasant working environment with plenty of great music, activities, vendors, and art installations to take in.
Shifts: Full Day
Check-in: Volunteers will check in with Volunteer Coordinator at volunteer tent upon arrival
Special skills/considerations: Coordinators should enjoy working with children, be well organized, have a fun-loving spirit, and be comfortable in a leadership role.
