Volunteer Opportunity description

Reading Partners empowers volunteers like you to become leaders in their communities by helping struggling readers succeed. Each week, you will meet one-on-one with your reading partner to help him or her develop strong literacy skills and discover a passion for reading. With no prior experience in the classroom, you can change a child's life.

Be a community leader.

Over the past decade, volunteers like you have helped more than 12,000 students become confident readers by using the Reading Partners curriculum.

Teach a skill for life.

Tutoring in the Reading Partners program helps a child develop a life skill. By working one-on-one with a struggling reader, you will help a student strengthen literacy skills, build confidence, and discover that reading can be fun.
