Volunteer Opportunity description

Atlas DIY, Do It Yourself/Developing Immigrant Youth, seeks a weekly group facilitator to lead group workshop for undocumented youth and their allies. ages 14-24. Weekly topics will range from "school" to "dating", "discrimination" and "family life", and will be further chosen by group participants and facilitator. Workshops will be held on Sundays from 2pm-3pm and, though participants may slightly vary, it is expected that a core group of members will maintain presence throughout the duration of the workshop. Atlas will apply for grants for this funding and may be able to arrange a small stipend upon request. Virtual social work supervision from an extremely experienced social worker can be arranged for those seeking career advancement through this opportunity. We are looking for a committed individual who can offer at least 12 weeks of group facilitator work and who is interested in undocumented/ undocumented affected youth and their needs and wants.
