- Support the Children Uganda has volunteer placements for those interested in contributing to making an impact in the lives of refugee children living in a refugee camp. Our placements are in the following areas:
1. Project Coordinator for the Child Riths Project
2. Project Officer -Child Rights Project
Volunteer Fees
If you are interested in taking up a volunteer placement with Support the Children, you will be expected to meet a project fee of 200 USD per week. The project fee covers your accommodation, meals, cultural and language orientation (Don't miss learning about our culture through Music and Dance), plus a three day safari to the largest National Park in Uganda.
Our volunteer placements range from a minimum of one month to a maximum of six months.
You do not need previous experience to volunteer with us though it is an advantage if you have it. If you are ok with working with refugee children, Support the Children will find you anything to do in order to make an impact in the lives of the children living in a refugee camp. The minimum qualifications is High school and you must be able to speak and write in English. But those interested in working at the health center at the refugee camp should possess health training qualification such as nurses, doctors, pre-medical students and medical students.
