Hagar Cambodia is now looking for the passionate and qualified expatriate to fulfill a volunteer position as "Programme Officer" for the Programming Department based in Phnom Penh. The volunteer must commit to a minimum of 1 year, to ensure that both the volunteer and Hagar have a valuable experience. Hagar will provide health insurance and cover the costs of a working visa.
MAIN SCOPES OF WORK
- Research and identify funding opportunities that will grow a diverse donor base whilst ensuring alignment between donor and Hagar's strategic mission
- Provide leadership in developing high quality proposals
- Assist in ensuring effective coordination and communication between donors and Hagar Cambodia
- Work with Programme Manager and Programming Team members to ensure narrative and financial reports are submitted on time with high quality
- To contribute towards ensuring that learning from evaluations and internal reflections inform the continual improvement of programmes
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
- Tertiary qualifications in international development or other related field
- Experience in development work or programme management, preferably for an NGO
- Experience in writing funding proposals
- Highly developed analytical and strategic thinking skills
- Strong time management skills, ability to work under pressure to deadlines and ability to prioritise tasks
- Experience in donor liaison and management
- Excellent written and verbal communication in English
- Good interpersonal skills
- Hardworking, innovative and likes to show initiative
- High level of attention to details
- Willingness to commit to Hagar's core competencies and core values
