Chicago Youth Centers is a child and youth development organization dedicated to assisting children and youth in underserved communities in the Chicago region to discover and realize their full potential. To that end, CYC operates programs
on a continuum of care which includes Early Childhood Education, School-age Child Development, and Teen Leadership Development.

Title: Mentoring/Tutoring

Description: Chicago Youth Centers is a child and youth development organization dedicated to assisting children and youth in underserved communities in the Chicago region to discover and realize their full potential. We provide programs that help children and youth build the academic, social and emotional competencies and achievements they need to be successful.

School-Age Child Development: CYC's mentoring program provides activities to kids aged 5-older, including full days of care on out-of-school days. Activities include tutoring, homework help, and life skills development.

Responsibilities:

  • Offer tutoring and homework assistance to youth.
  • Work with youth to provide more one-on-one attention, guidance and support; possibly assisting with implementing a behavior modification plan.
  • Serve as a positive role model and mentor to the youth.
