Program Description: Our non-profit workforce development organization is looking for volunteers to support our instructors. These individuals will assist students during their normal class times and help instructors achieve higher levels of in-class interaction between students and staff. Teaching Assistants will also provide support to instructors outside of class with preparing lessons and materials and grading. An excellent opportunity to gain valuable classroom and student interaction experience while providing a great service to a great institution!
The main subject areas where we are in need of TAs are:
Qualifications: Content-area proficiency, detail oriented, dynamic, and an ability to interact and engage with young adults.
Availability: We ask that Teaching Assistants commit for a minimum of 3 hours per week. This way, they can really be part of a learning community or class.
Schedule: Each class lasts for 1 hour and 20 minutes. The program runs from 8.30am – 3.30pm Monday – Friday, except for Wednesdays which run from 12.30pm – 3.30pm.
