Travel to Bolivia and experience the wide range of landscapes from the peaks of the Andes Mountains to vines of the jungles to the city line of Santa Cruz.
The project takes place in Santa Cruz de la Sierra, Bolivia's second largest city and its flourishing economic center. Enjoy the tropical climate, scattered palm trees, beautiful colonial buildings, open markets, and friendly people.

Volunteers will work for a non-profit organization that assists orphans and abandoned children in Santa Cruz to provide them with a stable environment to grow, learn, and develop into successful and driven members of their community. The organization provides housing, education, and a foster mother to "family units" of about ten children each. When the children grow to teenagers, they are given career planning advice and appropriate training.

Volunteers will have the opportunity to participate in activities with the children, help them with their homework, take them on excursions, and teach English, art, music, hygiene, or anything you wish to contribute. The roles of the volunteer are very flexible depending on your individual skills. Volunteers will also contribute their time to help keep the organization running smoothly; this may mean working in the kitchen or cleaning.

Volunteers will have the opportunity to truly immerse in the culture and be provided with a homestay in the area. All meals will be provided.
