Volunteer Opportunity description

Reading Partners matches volunteers like you with struggling readers to help students gain confidence in the classroom, develop literacy skills, and realize a love for reading. With no prior classroom experience, you can be an effective tutor, mentor, and leader.

Prepare a child for success.

Over the past decade, Reading Partners volunteers have used our structured, easy-to-use curriculum to support the academic growth of over 12,000 students. Our volunteers teach more than reading. With every tutoring session, volunteers help their reading partners build the confidence and literacy skills they will need to succeed in all subjects.

Make a friend.

Tutoring in the Reading Partners program makes a powerful impact in a child's life. By sharing your passion and knowledge, you can become a mentor, friend, and hero to a student.
