IL Campaign for Better Health Care, like many non-profit advocacy organizations, is mighty but small. We have been fighting for over 20 years here in Illinois for quality, accessible and affordable health care for all. More recently, our work has centered around state implementation of ObamaCare. We are looking for volunteers to help with very basic office support tasks - answering the phone (3-16 calls per day) taking inventory of our supplies, etc. Can you volunteer regularly one day a week from 9am-3pm? If you can do more, fantastic! Since you will likely have plenty of downtime, we don't mind if you spend that time reading, knitting, catching up on your personal email, or doing homework. Essentially, the staff are often in and out of the office at random and we need a volunteer to "hold down the fort".
