Volunteer Opportunity description

Join forces with up to 50 student volunteers for this large-scale community outreach and improvement project to combat hunger and build community in the South Bronx. Projects for this comprehensive day of service will include preparing and serving meals in the Caldwell Temple Soup Kitchen, raising the community's awareness of food assistance programs, such as school breakfast, and cleaning and preparing a community garden which will provide a green social space for local residents. This will be the first of two projects that will take place in this community this spring; the second is scheduled for May 11.
