MENASA is a non-profit consultancy engaged in Youth leadership development in the Middle East, North Africa, South Asia and USA. We are looking to recruit an intern who will help us in our efforts, as we seek to establish our services and offer exciting opportunities for youth across the world to envision a better future for themselves and their societies.
Job Summary:
The intern will be required to –
a) Write and edit and write press releases, other documents
b) Oversee other content for blog, press release and outreach material
c) Creatively strategize use of content to connect with new audiences and keep an on-going relationship with existing ones
Job Qualifications:
a) Enrolled or graduated in a Bachelors or Masters program
b) Creative thinker
c) Strong English language skills, bi-lingual ( with Spanish or Arabic) is a plus
d) Strong networking, communications, writing skills
e) Good team player
f) Ability to work in a multi-cultural, multi-ethnic environment with people of various age groups
Schedule:
The volunteer manager ( unpaid position) works in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment. This position involves extensive computer and telephone use and requires the ability to perform multiple tasks concurrently.
The editorial staff is expected to spend about 20 hours a week on an average, and if required put in additional work during special events.
