Looking for volunteers to build support and recognition for the Pythian Youth Camp. All around U.S. children in local communities are growing up under insecure circumstances. These children are in danger of being deprived of experiences and support needed to develop as healthy individuals. PYF serves the inner-city, at-risk children with an amazing experience by going to a wilderness camp. It provides the tools, inspiration and confidence necessary to make a positive change in their communities and the world. Right now we are looking for inspired and engaged volunteers for our new Volunteer Challenge Program.
PYF's Overview
The Pythian Youth Foundation of California, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) Public Nonprofit Corporation, established in 1946 to develop and operate the 19-acre Pythian Youth wilderness Camp, which is located in the heart of the majestic Sequoia National Forest. Since its founding over 15000 kids between 9 and 11 years old have participated in this inspiring program.
Purpose of Pythian Youth Foundation Volunteer Challenge Program:
Our start up volunteer challenge program is to encourage local citizens to contribute their valuable time and talents on a volunteer basis and TO KNOW ABOUT AND SUPPORT THE PYTHIAN YOUTH FOUNDATION! Besides the summer camp the PYF has other programs helping children in our neighborhoods.
Work location
Volunteers would preferably live Southern California. Work can be conducted at one's home and/or performed within your own community. Some of the positions are possible to do all virtual.
Volunteer types
Right now we are looking for many different types of volunteers to start up our new exciting Volunteer Challenge Program. Our goal is to create volunteer circles in different nearby regions in California where children have had the benefit of participating in this program.
