Volunteer Opportunity description

If you are ready to be inspired, and be an inspiration to others, then join I Am We!

I Am We is looking for an energetic and creative writer that can engage all with clarity, passion and urgency. Additionally, we are looking for a writer who is dedicated to our cause. I Am We is a grass roots organization based in Chicago that is comprised of anthropologist, artist, educators and professionals that believe when communities are inspired the positively act and invest within their communities. In Chicago, many underserved communities are uninspired, and as a result they are stagnate, non-engaged and often vulnerable to abandonment, crime, poor health, poverty and miss valuable resources. I Am We understands to address this urgent issue, we need to engage disconnected communities. Therefore our goal is to be a leader in unifying communities through the medium of arts, inspiration, outreach, education, programming and advocacy. Now, all we need is you to be a key contributor in making our goal a reality.

Our ideal candidate would have a solid background in web management, social media, eblasts, and other tricks of the trade is invited to commit to a three-month stretch of time during which he/she will help us organize, catalog, and standardize our mechanisms for outreach. Someone with PR or marketing knowledge can take the role even further, also helping us in a more strategic capacity and with an even greater degree of satisfaction from having helped a grass organization become excellent. We are a creative and upbeat organization and our collective energy is infectious. Come join the adventures.
