Overview of position: Sell Iskashitaa products and inform public of Iskashitaa programming during a community event. Help enhance the public's impression of Iskashitaa by being friendly, courteous and raising awareness.
Specific Tasks:
- Set up and/or break down of sales and information table
- Sell Iskashitaa products and give information about how products are made
- Document items sold
- Serve as ambassador and information-provider of Iskashitaa programming to the community
- Ask people to sign up for newsletter, volunteer opportunities and to donate
Time Required: Attend an Iskashitaa community event. Can attend for a few hours or the entire event
Qualifications: None
Physical/Age Requirements: Teen or Adult; may involve bending and lifting
Skills/Education: Knowledge of Iskashitaa programming and refugee resettlement, knowledge of Iskashitaa products, count money, friendly and courteous manner
Experience: None required, sales experience preferred
Training Required: On-site Iskashitaa training, Refugee 101 and volunteer application
