Position Summary:

The Director of Donor Relations is an overarching position encompassing the entire Donor Relations department. This individual is responsible for delegating between Regional Donor Relations Managers to effectively raise seed capital for our investment fund from donors. Donors in the context of External Relations includes but is not limited to affluential philanthropic individuals, charitable organizations, and grants (both government and private). This person will be responsible for seeking new innovative methods of creating, maintaining, and retaining donors. It is this individual's priority to actively resolve issues amongst our donors and optimize their lifetime value as investors.

Key responsibilities:

  • Most importantly: raising capital through grants, high net worth individuals, and charitable organizations.
  • Overseeing the retention, renewal, and growth of all major donors
  • Cultivating relationships to encourage individuals to participate at new and increased levels, to involve their networks, and optimize their lifetime value as investors
  • Coming up with innovative ways to show donors the return on their investment
  • Liaising with staff on the front-line
  • Training and mentor staff
  • Communicating goals and progress to the entire organization
