Long-term volunteers with CAP make a commitment to Service, Community, and Spirituality and receive room and board, a monthly stipend, health insurance, vacation time, a potential AmeriCorps Education Award of up to $5,550, and potential student loan deferment. Minimum age to volunteer is 18. Applicants must be accepted as a CAP Volunteer first, then may enroll as an AmeriCorps Member for eligible positions. This position requires a volunteer who is 21 or older with a good driving record.
