Summary/General Description of Job:
This volunteer position requires a high-energy, self directed, deadline-oriented individual
who has exceptional communication skills. The successful candidate will research and
write articles in a conversational, engaging style. Each blog entry will reinforce the
organization's mission.The Website Blogger is responsible for coming up with unique
content to post to the Jenna Green Foundation's Blog. The blogger must write pieces
that intrigue readers and make them want to continue returning to the website to read
new posts.
Essential Duties and Job Functions:
• Edit and publish content on the Jenna Green Foundation's Blog
• Present professional, but friendly posture with blogsphere colleagues and
throughout the Internet
• Act as an ambassador and liaison for the company with the Internet community
• As appropriate, respond promptly to blog comments and email
• Adhere to the Website Blogger Policies and Process
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:
• Provide original articles ( Plagiarism is not allowed)
• Create citations when necessary
• Produce images if necessary to post with blog entry
• Create links if necessary to post with blog entry
• Proofreading and editing skills
• Ability to create, compose, and edit written material
• Ability to write simply with a conversational style
• Writing should be informative but not verbose
• Ability to work independently and as a member of a team
• Ability to include corporate objectives and mission throughout blog presentation
