Volunteer Opportunity description

Mission: Big Apple Greeter's mission is to enhance New York City's worldwide image and enrich the New York experience by connecting visitors with knowledgeable and enthusiastic volunteers. Our goal is to promote New York City as friendly, inviting, and manageable; to bolster tourism and to foster economic development; and to create opportunities for New Yorkers to show pride in their city and give something back to the city.

Position Summary: Big Apple Greeter is looking for a person with excellent knowledge of Microsoft Access 2010 who can create Access reports for us on a short-term basis, and who can train a few of our people to use the reporting and other functions in Access 2010.

Responsibilities: Train one or more of our volunteers to use Access 2010, especially the reporting function.

Qualifications: This person need not be a professional teacher, but needs to have:

  • Excellent knowledge of Access 2010.
  • Ability to transmit this knowledge to others.
