Volunteer Opportunity description

As a volunteer with LINC you will assist in coordinating fundraising, community outreach, and marketing events in support of providing affordable homes and life-enhancing services to low-income families, seniors and special needs populations. Did you know that in California for a single worker making minimum wage to afford the average priced two-bedroom apartment for his or her family they would have to work over a 130 hours per week? Even with two incomes, you can see the challenges that an individual would have working 65 hours per week and still find time to raise their families, care for aging relatives, and contribute in a positive way to their neighborhoods. By joining our team and providing event management support to our organization you will be a catalyst for change in your community.

Volunteers may support the coordination of the following activities:

  • Offer creative ideas for fundraising events
  • Research supplies, vendors, decorations
  • Data collection and data entry
  • Day of the event help, registration, set up, take down
  • Guest management, thank you letters
  • Correspondence and answering phones
  • Copying and scanning
  • Other basic administrative tasks

Learn new skills and have fun, all while increasing access to affordable homes for those most vulnerable in our communities!
