The Workforce Development Associate provides crucial program support ensuring clients receive excellent service during their job search so they can find stable employment and improve their lives.
Duties:
- Update and maintain program database, verify accuracy of data, and merge data to create unified spreadsheets
- Meet one-on-one with clients to assist them with writing resumes and with completing job applications
- Help clients search for jobs on Craigslist as well as company websites
- Send emails responding to ads for clients who need help completing the application process
- Assist clients in writing ads that highlight their skills so they can promote their services
- Assist clients with follow-up calls and emails to find out the status of their job application
- Follow up with clients about their job status once they have received job search assistance to track their progress and see if they need additional support
- Prepare and attend workshops with coordinator to teach clients important job training skills
Qualifications:
- Spanish language fluency
- Excellent written and oral communications skills
- Strong organizational skills, accuracy and attention to detail
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite;
- Successful completion of a criminal background check
