Description

The Parallel Justice Program offers validation and resource support to persons impacted by crime. Volunteers give support by listening to concerns & making connections to a variety of resources/services provided by the community through the Parallel Justice Resource Bank and Victim Fund. Connect with individuals impacted by crime by calling to follow up after a police report is made, listening to experiences, validating, and offering meaningful support and referrals relevant to clients' needs.

Requirements: Professionalism, interpersonal/cultural competence and an understanding of confidentiality are essential. We require that all volunteers attend and complete orientation and training about Parallel Justice theory and history as well as skill-building. Ongoing training will be provided once you start your assignment
