If you are interested in this volunteer opportunity, please send me your resume and a cover letter that highlights how you are the technical expert I am looking for, and why you are interested in the project. Please reply asap. You can send your materials to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Do you know the ins and outs of websites, social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, Vine, Buffer, HootSuite, Pinterest, etc.), crowdfunding, and/or video production? Are you motivated by the idea of social impact work? If so, here is an opportunity to work with a 25-year veteran of communications and social change advocacy work, who needs support with the social media program for a small international development organization.
I am the new Communications and Development Director for Trailblazer Foundation. We work with rural communities in the Siem Reap region of Cambodia, to improve health, food security, education, and economic opportunities.
As their first ever Communications Director, there is much I can do to enhance our social media presence and video assets. I know the basics on both, and have already enhanced our digital media significantly.
However, I am by no means an expert, and I need someone who knows the digital media world, and/or video production. Specifically, I want someone who can help me identify and evaluate additional opportunities, platforms, and strategies for building the organization's public profile, and enhance our storytelling to existing and prospective donors. I need someone I can work with to expand and strengthen our social media presence and engagement, as well as as soomeone who can help us produce up to three short videos for the organization.
Time wise, I am looking for someone who can commit five to fifteen (5-15) hours per week, and you can work at your convenience. Since I am a remote staff, you can be remote too... although having someone close to Santa Cruz, CA (where I live) would be ideal. You will work directly with me on developing and implementing a more robust strategic communications plan for the organization, and spend the remainder of her/his time designing and implementing the ideas we come up with.
