Who we are

Emerge Kids in Sports provides and support young people to play organized sports and access to leadership skills programs. Many Children faces challenges of growing up in communities plagued with poverty, preventable crime, thus involving them in "Negative Recreations". We believe to help improve their self esteem and confidence, leadership skills and other important life skills through our programs. Our dedicated team of volunteers and staff are on the ground and help achieve long-lasting community benefits

Need

Kids in Ghana start sports when they are already grown. This late start for children, especially girls, in organized sports robs them of the opportunity for physical activity, coaching, being part of a team, important life skills, and substantial time away from "negative recreation" (drugs, violence, crimes and sexual Promiscuity).

Emerge Kids believe to cut down the rate of negative recreation amongst the Ghanaian children by supporting and providing organized sports and youth-led leadership clubs ,teaching them the basic skills they will need as they grow up.

Become a Volunteer

Thank you so much for taking interest in Emerge Kids in Sports. The volunteer program enables you to experience life in West Africa and participate in the many programs that are run. You will have the opportunity to try different roles and programs, dependent on your interests and skills. Volunteers are also encouraged to initiate activities such as dance, music, games, sports, arts, and crafts. Our volunteer(s) come from many countries of the world.

We encourage YOU to help; whether you are an individual or with a group – corporate, church or community service – all hands and hearts are welcome. There are various locations and opportunities to accommodate your schedule. You must be 16 years or older to volunteer.

Volunteers working with youth must complete Emerge Kids in Sports volunteer application form, which can be requested by emailing us. We will then find a place for you. Once your application has been received, you can be placed into a rewarding volunteer position.

General Volunteer Opportunities

We want to make your volunteer experience with the Clubs as meaningful and convenient as possible. There are many potential volunteer activities, including:

• Become a Board of Director
• Mentor and Support a child
• Coach an Emerge Kids Sports team
• Raise funds to ensure that Emerge Kids reaches all children
• Teach our Classes
• Work in our Administration sector
• Volunteer within tournaments/special events
• Youth/Leadership Development

LIFE Coach Volunteer Opportunities

Our volunteer LIFE Coaches are trained adults who spend one to two hours each month with a Club member helping with personal, educational and other developmental goals and plans.
