Description: This is an Unpaid Volunteer/Intern position.
Changing Worlds seeks an individual to help with the creation of an ad book: a section of the Annual Benefit program that is dedicated to advertisements and messages from individuals, companies, and organizations. Individual will also help solicit items for the raffle that takes place during their signature fundraising event, the Annual Benefit. The Annual Benefit takes place on May 8th.This individual will be responsible for finding and collecting prizes for the Benefit and communications with businesses and individuals to solicit and gather details, pertaining to their advertisement.
Specific Duties Include:
- Outreach to vendors around the city
- Collect advertisement information for the Benefit raffle
- Solicit and secure prizes for the raffle
- Reach out to Board members to gather advertisement leads
- Keep track of which companies place advertisements
- Organize documents pertaining to selling and gathering advertisements
- Help create advertisements in ad book
- Be lead volunteer at the Benefit selling raffle tickets and leading other volunteers
- Reports to Manager of Individual Giving & Special Events
Qualifications:
- Strong written and oral communication
- Microsoft Word, Excel, Publisher and Outlook experience
- Ability to be flexible
- Creatively approach companies to sell ad space
- Some marketing/sales/individual giving experience
- Organization skills
- 8-15 hours a week
- 3 months or longer (ideally until the Benefit, including the day of and three to four weeks following the Benefit
