Description

Be a Community Group Leader with Meals On Wheels of San Francisco!

Meals On Wheels of San Francisco Nourishes the Whole Person

Mission

Meals On Wheels of San Francisco is committed to the belief that all seniors have the right to live independently with dignity and respect in their own homes for as long as it is safely possible. It is our mission to provide isolated homebound seniors in San Francisco with nutritious meals, daily human contact and supportive services to prevent their premature institutionalization.

We are seeking leadership volunteers that will help us expand and offer more volunteer opportunities to individuals and groups, while meeting even more of the needs of the homebound seniors we serve. You will have the opportunity to be part of the launch of brand new volunteer programs at Meals On Wheels of San Francisco as one of our first Community Group Leader Volunteers!

  • On Behalf of Meals On Wheels of SF, manage small (5-20) corporate, community and school group activities when available
  • Flexible opportunity—Manage groups when you have time, Weekday or Weekend opportunities available
  • Choose a focus on group type if preferred (corporate, school/kids or other)
  • Choose a focus on group activity to lead, home-made birthday card-making for homebound seniors in SF and/or Senior home-cleaning for our neediest and most isolated clients
  • Help out during the Holidays when we have a wide variety of group activities
  • Great way to enhance your public speaking and leadership skills
  • Great for all ages (over 18yrs), and especially students!
