Philippines: International Volunteer Programs

Volunteer Abroad in the Philippines! All ELI programs are based in Tacloban City on Leyte Island in the Visayas region of the Philippines. Experience the tropical exoticness of the Philippines while giving back to the locals. Volunteers find that they often leave the Philippines feeling they received more than they were able to give through the course of the volunteer program. The Philippines can be a challenging place to live,

Volunteers can help with a variety of projects including:

• Orphanages & Children's Programs
• Women's Empowerment
• TB/HIV/AIDS Education and Outreach
• Community Health Clinic
• Social Welfare
• Construction

Accommodation: Participants stay with a local host family and are provided with breakfast and dinner each day.

Program Duration: 2 week minimum time commitment

Program Cost: varies depending on length of stay

Program Includes:

• Airport pickup
• Orientation upon arrival
• Placement
• Pre Departure materials
• Housing option
• In-country coordinator available 24/7
• US-based staff support

Program Does Not Include:

• Round-trip Airfare
• Return trip to Airport
• Visa Fees
• Required Travel and Medical Insurance

Participants must be at least 18 years old or older at the time of their placement.
