Communications Intern - CIME

Home-based internship, flexible, part-time.

Location: Global, your home city, any country and any city

Duration: 6-12 months

Nature: Unpaid

Dates: Starting Febr/March 2013

The Center for International Media Ethics CIME focuses on providing ethics training & awareness opportunities for journalists. This internship is a unique opportunity to gain experience with an international media group, reaching out to a wide & diverse range of institutions and foundations.

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • · Contribution to our blog, newsletter, publications, announcements;
  • · Management of social media accounts;
  • · Plan and lead CIME's projects, eg. essay writing contest, short video contest;
  • · Attending media ethics events, depending on opportunities that arise during the period of your internship;
  • · Assist the organisation of the 3rd International Media Ethics Day worldwide and on the internet.

Academic credit may be possible and a good learning experience with a young, dynamic team is guaranteed.

Qualifications:

  • · Professionalism;
  • · Good writing skills in English, other languages welcome;
  • · Strong organizational and communication skills;
  • · Excellent presentation and negotiation skills;
  • · Self-confident and convincing;
  • · Able to work in a geographically dispersed team via the internet and also alone;
  • · Must have own computer with internet connection.

This is an online home based internship with flexible part-time hours, duration 6 months extendible. Expected time worked: 10-15 hrs/month. This is an unpaid position.
