Long-term AmeriCorps Member (August 2013-August 2014) needed to provide home visitation, transportation, social activities, advocacy, prescription assistance and various other services which decrease isolation and increase socialization of homebound senior citizens.
Christian Appalachian Project is a nonprofit human services organization with long-term (one year) and short-term (minimum three weeks) volunteers who addresses some of Appalachia's most difficult challenges. Long-term volunteers receive room and board, a monthly stipend, health insurance, vacation time, a potential AmeriCorps Education Award of up to $5,550, and potential student loan deferment. This position requires a volunteer who is 21 or older with a good driving record.
