Volunteer Opportunity description

PCDI in partnership with AIPIS is seeking volunteer online mentors to participate in a new initiative aimed at providing quality international online learning opportunities throughout the world. Courses are offered towards diplomas, advance diplomas, certificates, and associate and bachelor degrees. Course run for 3 months (quarterly) and mentors are expected to supervise adult students and evaluate their performance based on Competency Unit Approach.

Programs available in business studies, accounting, finance, marketing, history, economics, literature, languages, health-care management and many more. (Contact us if you don't see your field of interest). Selected candidates will receive a quarterly appreciation stipend.

Online volunteer mentoring requires knowledge of online delivery methods, principles and techniques. If interested contact us at pcdi_cam@yahoo.com

Responsibilities include: Providing quality mentoring services to students via online worldwide. Ability to deliver course material on all assigned courses

  • Willingness to interact online with adult students, communicate and motivate student academic learning progress
  • Conduct fair assessment through professional comments and remarks for assignments
  • Complete grade books, final grade sheets, learning assessments timely
  • Respond to student questions and emails timely
  • Provide academic advising and mentoring
  • Ensure course learning outcomes are achieved as defined by the AIPIS syllabus
  • Work with AIPIS academic team and other appointed organs to foster the objectives of AIPIS
  • Assist with new student orientation
  • Participate in completion and maintenance of an Individual Development Plan/Summary for each student mentored
  • Responsible to maintain credentials as required by our accrediting agencies
  • Engage in professional development as required by AIPIS accrediting agencies
