Casa Dolores, the Center for the Study of Popular Arts of Mexico, located in sunny Santa Barbara is looking for volunteers for our events that are open to the public.
We host seasonal events, such as Dia del Niño (Children's Day) on Saturday, April 27, 2013. For this event we invitefamilies to enjoy arts, crafts, piñatas, music and much more! We invite volunteers to do arts and crafts with children, be in charge of our photo booth, do face painting, make simple Mexican-inspired treats, and help with set up and clean up after events.
If you have a passion for Mexican art and culture, this opportunity is for you!
We also will be hosting children's summer workshops for six weeks and would like volunteers to work with the children doing arts and crafts and other fun things.
At Casa Dolores, our mission is to preserve and showcase the popular arts of Mexico. We are open Tues-Sat 12:00pm-4:00pm.
And for you history buffs,Casa Dolores is located in the historic 1843 Botiller adobe. It's one of the last standing two-story adobes in Santa Barbara.
