Jewish Family Service of San Diego (JFS) is a social service agency with over 50 programs helping people regardless of religion.
Rides & Smiles uses volunteers to provide individual transportation to older adults in the community. Our volunteers drive older adults to necessary personal and medical appointments, visits to loved ones in hospitals & nursing homes, social activities & more. Our three service areas include Northern San Diego (Carmel Valley, La Jolla, Kearny Mesa), Eastern San Diego (Tierrasanta, College Area, San Carlos, La Mesa), and North County Inland (Poway, Scripps Ranch, PQ, Rancho Bernardo).
Rides & Smiles provides mileage reimbursement & secondary auto insurance. There is no minimum number of rides to provide and you schedule yourself based on your availability.
