Volunteer Opportunity description

United Communities Southeast Philadelphia is a non-profit agency. It's mission is to work in partnership with its various communities for social and economic justice and to foster harmony for building self-sustaining communities. United Communities service newly arrived Refugees and Immigrants who work hard to rebuild their lives.

The ESL Program is designed to:

  • Raise self-esteem
  • Improve basic Reading, Writing, and Math skills
  • Gain entry into a GED Program and possibly college
  • Secure a job with good wages and benefits

Volunteers are valuable. We appreciate the individuals who dedicate their time, talent and energy to making a difference.

All interested persons must commit to a Criminal Background Check, Child Abuse and FBI Fingerprint, all of which is paid for by United Communities.
